Carillon is a traditional musical instrument typically positioned within a tower, either as an integral component of a larger building or as an independently constructed structure designed specifically to house its bells. This instrument comprises a minimum of 23 cast bronze bells spanning at least two octaves, characterized by melodious chimes or bells. CarillonSS offers a digital experience to engage with the grandeur of a carillon directly from your iPad or iPhone.

While traditional carillons utilize foot pedals to operate the heavy clappers, CarillonSS simplifies this process, allowing users to play without the physical exertion required in conventional settings. This accessibility enables anyone to assume the role of a carillonneur, bridging the gap between novice and experienced musicians.

A notable enhancement in CarillonSS is the newly added recording functionality, which captures surrounding sounds. This feature serves multiple purposes, such as recording vocals or creating voice memos, and allows users to share audio files via email. It is important to bear in mind that the maximum attachment size for email correspondence is dependent on the particular iOS device employed; a 10-second recording approximates 450 kB in size.

• Support for iTunes file sharing is available.
• A new button facilitating play along with other music apps has been integrated, albeit this disables simultaneous recording functionality. Users can enjoy harmonizing with their preferred tracks directly from the Music app.
• The application now permits selection of audio file format during recording. For ease of email transmission, it is advisable to record at "22kHz / 8 bit" to minimize file size.
